You probably have a website for your business, but can anybody find it? And if they can, does it make them want to spend money on your services?

As potential customers continue moving away from newspaper ads and the Yellow Pages to find products and services, it’s more important than ever for local brick-and-mortar businesses to make their websites easy to find in Internet search engines, online maps, social networking and business review sites.

Longtime Parkside resident Les Ong is helping neighborhood businesses get more customers from Internet leads.

Les has 25 years experience working in finance for a major corporation and 10 years experience in Internet Marketing.

He wants small businesses in the Parkside to know how important an Internet presence is to the bottom line:

“A professionally designed website is the salesman who does not sleep, eat, or want holidays off. It does not get sick or have family issues. Your website will be there 24 hours per day, 7 days per week doing nothing but driving sales. A website is a must for any local business that wants to grow, expand, and dominate the market in their geographical area. The sooner you get your website up and running the sooner you will see more profit.”

For a limited time, Les is offering a FREE Internet Marketing consultation and complementary website.

Don’t underestimate your neighborhood hardware store! Since 1983 this family-owned business has been helping local residents and businesses get the right tools and materials for any improvement or maintenance project.

Owner Albert Chow and his staff double as general contractors, so they know their products and how to use them, and will share real-world experience and professional advice with customers in the store.

Prices are competitive with the Internet and big box chain stores, with added advantages of easy parking and being treated like a neighbor.

www.KTVbox.com
Hours: Mon-Tue 2pm-2am and Wed-Sun 1pm-2am

The Karaoke club on Taraval near the corner of 19th Avenue re-opened in mid-2010 under new ownership. With a name change, some re-modeling and new song selections, owner Wendy Tsang is aiming to make K-Net Karaoke “The Best Karaoke in San Francisco.”

Private rooms outfitted with large screens, clear sound systems and plush seating can accommodate couples, small or large groups. Unlike many other Karaoke systems, the songs’ actual music videos appear on screen (instead of random unrelated images), along with the lyrics.

No alcohol served, but K-Net does offer bar-type snacks like chicken wings and a variety of non-alocholic beverages, including unusual options like coconut water and lychee juice.

Tsang is also owner of two Quickly stores in the city, and the treasurer of People of Parkside Sunset (POPS).
