A Meetup group for social gatherings in the Parkside rolled out last week and members are steadily joining up.
The San Francisco People of Parkside Meetup aims to get friends and residents socializing locally at neighborhood venues.
Events on the calendar range from morning coffee to a day at the Stern Grove Festival, from pub happy hours to beachside bike rides. The theme is to “explore and share this special neighborhood” while meeting other locals.

As People of Parkside membership grows, plans for the group include promoting local merchants as part of the events. Raffles, grand openings, special demonstrations, orientations, and workshops offered by neighborhood businesses are some ideas.
